Documents Feature Enhancements: Preview & Shareable Links

Document Preview

Now, you can see document content at a glance directly within the application without downloading it, saving you time and effort, especially when managing multiple records and reports.

When a user clicks on a document, they’ll be redirected to the Details screen, where they can access various functions and preview the document.  

This feature is available on both TownSq Community and Business Web. On the TownSq Community mobile app, the Preview function supports documents that are image files or PDFs.  

Shareable Links

Effortlessly share documents through secure, shareable links directly from the Document Details page. No more manual searches—simply generate and share a link with just a few clicks.

• Easy Sharing: A new Share button on the Document Details page lets you create a unique, secure link to easily share with others.
• Permission-Based Access: Only authorized users with the appropriate TownSq permissions will be able to view the document through the shared link, ensuring security.
• Native Mobile Sharing: On mobile devices, you can share documents using your phone’s native sharing component for a seamless experience.

These features aim to enhance your document management in TownSq, making it easier to collaborate, share, and oversee important community or organizational materials.

Getting Started:

1. Document Preview: Navigate to the Documents tab and click any document to preview its details in TownSq.
2. Document Sharing: From the Document Details page, click the new Share button to generate a secure link for sharing.

These new capabilities will help you collaborate more effectively and streamline the management and sharing of documents within your community or organization.
