From work and social events to taking care of pets and kids- as someone who is always on the go, it can be hard to stay organized and feel like you’re on top of everything. We know your time is precious, so we’ve gathered some of the best tips and DIY hacks that you can implement to make your life easier. Simplify your life with these organization hacks!

  1. Put up hooks for your keys.

If you’re someone who spends a few extra minutes every morning looking for your misplaced keys- this hack is for you. Find some wall space in your garage, kitchen, or entryway and hang up a simple hook, or get creative with some cute, decorative hooks. If you make it a habit to hang your keys on the hook, you’ll be out the door in no time.

  1. Set up a shoe station.

How many times have you tripped over a mess of shoes in your entryway, or spent too much time looking for a match? By installing a shoe station, you’ll have easy access to your shoes, and you will eliminate clutter. You can build your own or buy one at most stores.

  1. Assign individual storage.

The more people and pets you have in your home, the more things you accumulate. If you assign each person a basket or bin, you’ll never have to dig through a pile of hats and bags again - and you’ll know exactly where to find what belongs to whom.

  1. Corral your snacks.

An organized pantry is a necessity for people on the go. A quick and easy hack? Organize snacks in your pantry by putting them in small baskets or bins. You can group them anyway you want- by type, person, etc. Your pantry will look neater and you’ll be able to grab what you need and go.

  1. Hang your cleaning supplies.

We’ve found that having organized supplies makes washing dishes a little more bearable. Hang a spice rack on the inside of the cabinet door below your sink and store your sponges, soaps, and brushes. Your products will be handy and won’t get lost or knocked over in the depths of space and pipes underneath your sink.

  1. Organize your junk drawer.

It’s okay to have a junk drawer- as long as it’s organized. Get a desk organizer or silverware holder and make sure each piece of junk has a place. This way, you’ll feel less guilty about having a drawer full of junk and it won’t take you an hour to find a rubber band or paper clip.

  1. File important paperwork.

You use folders on your computer to organize important documents- so why not do it in your home? Buy a file organizer and label each folder with a person’s name or category and store all important information there. You’ll avoid an unsightly mess of papers and know exactly where to find what you need.

  1. Create a charging station.

You’ll never have to look for a phone charger again if it’s always in the same place. Set up a station in your kitchen or living room with all of your cords and electronics. Bonus: you can use binder clips to hold them up to avoid getting cords tangled.

  1. Tie sheet sets together.

Clean up your linen closet and use a piece of string or some old ribbon and bundle your matching sheets and pillowcases together. Your sheets will stay crisp and folded and matching pillow cases will already be together, so making your bed will feel like less of a chore.

  1. Group your medications.

Your medicine cabinet and bathroom closet aren’t destined to be cluttered. Sort your medications into baskets or bins and label them. Now, when someone has a cold, you won’t waste time digging through the endless supply of cough syrup and allergy pills you have accumulated.Do you have any organization hacks that have simplified your life?
